The Committee has been tasked with the responsibility of seeing to the day-to-day operations of the Association’s Secretariat including general administration and financial management. It has oversight responsibility over the Association’s finances, human capital and execution of revenue generating initiatives.  Its terms of reference include:-

  • Supervise the activities of the Secretariat.
  • Review and determine the organization structure of the Secretariat and the Terms and Conditions of Service.
  • Review the operations of the Secretariat and submit appropriate recommendations to the Board.
  • Review the Terms and Conditions of Service and human resource development in the secretariat and training in the secretariat from time to time and recommend to the board any appropriate or specific action required to make the secretariat function efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensure that an annual budget of the secretariat is prepared and approved by the Board.
  • Ensure that investment of surplus funds are in accordance with Investment Policy approved by the Board and that Investments are safe and sound.
  • Arrange for annual audit of Accounts of the Secretariat.
  • Responsible for taxation matters affecting the affairs of the secretariat and the Association.
  • Ensure that there is appropriate, adequate and up to date insurance for all the assets of the Association.
  • Report to the Board as may be determined by the Board.
  • Co-opt other persons for the purposes of dealing with aspects of the secretariat.
  • Responsible for all matters pertaining to the financial management and computerization of the secretariat.
  • Responsible for all matters concerning staff welfare, recruitment and discipline of staff in accordance with the delegated authority by the Board.
  • Undertake any other responsibility assigned by the Board
