Sheriff has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry (banking and insurance) in sales, business development and senior executive leadership.

Sheriff is a Chartered Insurer and a Senior Associate member of the Australian & New Zealand Institute of Insurance & Finance, ANZIIF. He holds an MA in Mass Communications from the University of Leicester, UK, and a BA in Social Sciences (Economics, Law and Sociology) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, Kumasi, Ghana.

Before his current role, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Life Insurance Company (2019 – 2021), the Managing Director of Unique Life Insurance Company (2017 – 2019) and General Manager, Business Development at MiLife Insurance (2011 – 2017) where he was instrumental in restructuring the distribution, sales, and marketing operations, which helped grow the premium income of the company by a huge margin over 5 years.

He is currently the Chairman of the Sales and Marketing Technical Committee of the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA) and a member of the Client Rescue Fund Committee of the National Insurance Commission (NIC). Sheriff has attended numerous of training programs in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Dubai, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, and Cote d’Ivoire.
