The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance 2023 (ICII 2023) is set to take place from October 23-27, 2023, at the prestigious Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Ghana. This highly anticipated event will be jointly hosted by the National Insurance Commission of Ghana (NIC), the Ghana Insurers Association (GIA), and the Insurance Brokers Association of Ghana (IBAG), in collaboration with the Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network.
Over the past fifteen years, the insurance sector in emerging markets has experienced significant growth in client outreach and premium volumes. With the help of new technologies, market coverage has expanded, yet a vast number of individuals within the global middle class still lack access to formal insurance, leaving them vulnerable to financial setbacks and potential poverty. The situation is further exacerbated by the escalating impact of climate change, particularly on low-income countries that are home to impoverished and vulnerable communities.
ICII 2023 aims to bring together representatives from insurance and reinsurance companies, brokers, distribution channels, technology providers, investment funds, international organizations, NGOs, development aid agencies, academics, policymakers, and insurance supervisors from more than 50 countries. This diverse gathering will provide a platform to discuss current growth trends and risks in emerging markets. Furthermore, participants will engage in crucial dialogues on successful implementation strategies and explore ways to maximize business opportunities, ultimately elevating the supply and demand of inclusive insurance to new heights.
The conference program will consist of approximately 20 sessions covering key topics, tailored to appeal to an interdisciplinary audience. Renowned experts will deliver keynote speeches, sharing the latest international, national, and local insights.
