GIA Elects New Leadership for a Two-Year Term

In a pivotal moment for the Ghana Insurance Association (GIA), the immediate past Board’s tenure culminated in a significant event on December 14, 2023. The Association convened its 14th Annual General Assembly virtually, conducting general elections to usher in a new President and Board members who will navigate the Association’s course for the next two years.

The election involved nine vacant positions, with participants vying for roles in the President/Chairman category, the Life Insurance Forum, and the Non-Life Insurance Forum.

Among the 11 participants who contested, the categories with the exact required number of nominations experienced less intense competition than the Non-Life Forum.

The results of this crucial election bring forth a dynamic and experienced team to lead the Ghana Insurers Association. The newly elected Board members are as follows:
