Mr. Ernest Frimpong is an esteemed professional in the insurance industry, currently serving as the CEO of Bedrock Insurance Company Limited. He holds the prestigious title of Chartered Insurer and is an Associate Member of both the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) of the United Kingdom (UK) and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana (CIIG). Ernest possesses an Intermediate Certificate in Banking from the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIB) of Ghana, a Master of Arts Degree in International Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with Philosophy from the University of Ghana.

With a wealth of experience, Ernest has played significant roles within the insurance sector. He is the Managing Director of Loyalty Insurance Company Limited, where he previously held the position of Chief Operations Officer. Ernest’s tenure at Loyalty Insurance began in April 2017 when he joined as the Head of Business Development and Marketing. He swiftly progressed to become the Head of Business Development, Marketing, and Corporate Affairs. Prior to his time at Loyalty Insurance, Ernest served as the Head of Business Development and Marketing at Priority Insurance Company Limited from August 2015 to March 2017.

Ernest’s extensive expertise also encompasses a remarkable tenure at the National Insurance Commission (NIC), where he served for nearly 11 years from September 2004 to August 2015. Throughout his tenure, he held various roles at the NIC, including Board Secretary, Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Insurance, Team Leader/Projects Manager, Relationship Manager, and External Relations Officer.

Driven by his passion for the insurance industry, Ernest actively participates in numerous Insurance Industry Committees. Currently, he serves as a Board Member of the Ghana Insurers Association, where he also chairs the Public Relations and External Liaison Committee. Additionally, he holds a position as a Board Member of the Ghana National Bureau of the ECOWAS Brown Card Insurance Scheme, chairing the Publicity and Public Education Committee.

Ernest’s dedication to sharing his knowledge and expertise extends to his involvement with the Ghana Insurance College (GIC). As a resource person, he imparts his insights to students and professionals in the industry. Ernest is a graduate of the GIC, having earned an Advanced Diploma in Applied Insurance Studies. Furthermore, he has showcased his industry expertise through the publication of numerous articles on insurance.
