Matthew is an accomplished professional, specializing in both accounting and insurance. He holds the esteemed titles of Chartered Accountant and Chartered Insurer, reflecting his expertise in these fields. In 1992, he graduated from the University of Cape Coast, where he earned his Bachelor of Commerce (Hons.) Degree and Diploma in Education. Additionally, he obtained an MBA in Finance from Coventry University in the UK. Matthew further bolstered his qualifications with a professional certificate in insurance, ACII (UK), and became a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA). He also pursued a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Malta International Institute in Malta.

Matthew embarked on his professional journey with the defunct Great African Insurance Company Limited in 1993, where he assumed the role of Accounts Officer. Through hard work and dedication, he steadily advanced within the company, eventually becoming the acting Chief Finance Officer in 1996. His expertise and industry knowledge were further honed during his tenure as an Investment Analyst at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT). Matthew’s career also led him to prominent positions at renowned organizations, including Ghana Life Insurance Company Limited, where he served as the Chief Finance Officer in 2009. He has also contributed his expertise to multinational companies such as the UNDP Enterprise Africa Project and the West African Gas Pipeline.

Prior to joining Priority Insurance, Matthew held the position of Chief Finance Officer at Provident Insurance Company Limited. His extensive experience in financial management and his background in the insurance sector make him a valuable asset to any organization.
